Every year since I was born, my family has had a huge get together every Memorial Day weekend. My aunt and uncle from Florida come into town with my grandparents (except PopPop has been staying with my other aunt and uncle for a few weeks now since Grammie passed) and “family” that are technically friends but we love them like we’re related come in from all over. We have a great weekend full of pool time, hot wings, a 6 foot sub, london broil, crafts for the kids, star spangled nails, movies, chalk drawings on the driveway, and an impossibly long to do list for “Uncle” Steve, my dad, and Uncle Paul to complete. Uncle Dave will usually just sit there in a lawn chair and give his opinion but not actually help with anything.
No matter what I have planned for the summer, I make time to hang out in Piedmont for most of the weekend.
Time to actually finish getting ready for my day. London broil tonight! :)
